In 2006 Uncommon Friends Foundation gave the first Uncommon Friends Business Ethics Award to recognize an organization that exemplifies standards of high ethical behavior in how they conduct their daily operations and during times of crises. This award is for an organization that demonstrates a commitment to business ethics at all levels of the organization from line employees to upper management. The award also recognizes a business for its commitment to business ethics in their dealings with their customers, vendors, shareholders, regulators, lenders and the community. The company taking home this coveted award also shows a commitment to business ethics in their marketing, communications and sales practices as well as holding a reputation within their industry and communities for a commitment to business ethics. The 2006 award went to HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation headquartered in Atlanta.
2010 Business Ethics Award Winner
Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co. received the fifth annual Business Ethics Award from the Uncommon Friends Foundation during the “Uncommon Evening,” June 3, at Harborside Event Center, Fort Myers. The award is presented annually to a business who exemplifies a high standard of ethical leadership in today’s business.
