Champions

Character Education Award recipients form a select group of educators called “Champions”. This group of educators has been recognized by Uncommon Friends Foundation for their outstanding skill in using and adapting our curriculum, Lessons Learned from the Uncommon Friends. Champions provide important guidance to the Foundation’s Education Committee in matters related to the character education curricula. Champions also provide best practices so other educators can better understand how the curricula can be adapted to a variety of content areas and unit lessons.

Champion “reunions” are held twice a year at a dinner or brunch event. Board members and special guests join Champions and help celebrate their contributions to Uncommon Friends Foundation. An electronic newsletter is also used for Champions to share ideas and strategies. To receive these, please email the Coordinator of Character Education at uncommonfriends.mindspring.com.
